ABOUT STILLGOODE

StillGoode began in 2005 as a small consignment shop tucked beside Strack Farms on Louetta Road — a local landmark that generations in our community still remember. In 2008, Dennis and Janna Sewell purchased the business and a year later moved it to our current location transforming it into what it is today. What started as an 8,000 sq. ft. store has since expanded more than six times into a 21,000 sq. ft. premier resale destination — the largest consignment store in the state of Texas.

In 2020, StillGoode expanded its estate services with the opening of our 10,500 sq. ft. auction facility, allowing us to launch weekly online estate auctions and offer a seamless solution for items outside traditional consignment categories. The facility quickly became an essential part of our brand, connecting buyers across Texas and the United States.

In 2023, we expanded again with the launch of our real estate and home staging services, further rounding out our family of brands. The response was remarkable, and the division grew at a pace that quickly established StillGoode as a leading resource for Houston families navigating life transitions.

For more than two decades, StillGoode has been a neighborhood favorite, award-winning, and nationally recognized for its elevated approach to resale, its beautifully curated showroom, and its reputation for trust, transparency, and exceptional customer service.

Today, StillGoode has evolved into a family of brands that includes not only consignment, but online estate auctions, real estate, and home staging services. Together, this allows us to guide families through every season of home and life — all with the trusted name behind them.

THE SEWELL FAMILY LEGACY

StillGoode’s growth and transformation are deeply tied to the vision of Dennis Sewell — a leader known throughout the resale industry for his wisdom & generosity. Dennis served for many years as President of NARTS — National Association of Resale & Thrift Shops — mentoring store owners across the U.S. and Canada. His expertise as a leader in the Consignment & Resale Industry, REALTOR® and auctioneer helped shape StillGoode into the full-service, multi-channel company it is today. Dennis passed away in September 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. His influence is woven into every corner of StillGoode — in the way we treat our clients, the care we put into every decision, and the respect we have for quality, people, and community.

StillGoode’s direction today is shaped by the same steady hands and values that built it. The Sewell family continues to lead the business forward — honoring Dennis’s legacy while ensuring the company continues to grow with integrity, heart, and purpose.

Janna Sewell, with her background in corporate law and extensive experience in valuations, helped shape the structure, stability, and operational foundation of StillGoode. Her eye for design, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to integrity continue to guide the business today. While she prefers to remain behind the scenes, her influence is felt in every part of the company.

Judy Connor, Dennis and Janna’s daughter, helps oversee the strategic growth, branding, and evolution of StillGoode’s family of brands. Her experience in interior design, staging, and marketing influences StillGoode’s aesthetic direction and customer experience. She also serves on the Board of Directors for NARTS, the largest association for consignment, resale, and thrift stores in the United States, and is a national speaker. Judy continues her father’s legacy by supporting and educating stores across the country.

Nicholas Sewell, a third-generation auctioneer, brings expertise in auction operations, valuation, and estate service logistics. His work within StillGoode Auctions — paired with his commitment to the family’s standards of fairness and transparency — helps ensure our auction division remains trusted, community-focused, and aligned with the values Dennis instilled.

OUR TEAM

What began with Dennis and Janna and a team of just one or two employees has grown into nearly 50 full-time team members— From processors and photographers to merchandisers, schedulers, sales associates, auction catalogers, and warehouse associates. Every member plays a vital role in bringing our values to life: quality, trust, transparency, and exceptional service. While StillGoode remains family-led, it is the strength, talent, and heart of our team that make the experience what it is. Together, they manage over 40,000 consignors, thousands of weekly incoming consignments, execute online estate auctions, and help families throughout every stage of life.

StillGoode remains committed to serving our community with integrity, care, and an elevated resale experience — today, tomorrow, and for the generations still to come.
